How is eAlarm SOS different from calling 9-1-1?

When someone calls 9-1-1, they connect to a central operator who will ask several questions and verify the emergency, get information about the user’s location and then connect with the nearest dispatch. In an emergency, many times, people cannot even speak. With eAlarm SOS, they just tap a button and the monitoring station knows the identity and GPS location and connects the nearest emergency responders to be dispatched. It cuts down the entire 9-1-1 operator time for response.

What does eAlarm SOS App do?

  • Smart SOS – This is the SOS button. In an emergency just tap on the SOS button and help will be on the way by tracking your real-time GPS location
  • Smart Check In – This is a daily safety check in feature to let your loved one know each day that you are safe. No need to type any message or call. Just one tap and your contact gets notified.
Can you tell me about the 24/7 Monitoring Center?

eAlarm SOS alarms are monitored by a US based professional dedicated emergency monitoring team. They are FM Certified, UL certified and CSAA 5-Diamond certified facility with many years of experience in alarm monitoring.

Will the App track my location at all times?

No. eAlarm SOS is not a tracker. It will not encroach in your privacy until you ask for help during an emergency. At that point, it does track your location.

Does eAlarm SOS share or sell my personal information with any 3rd party marketing organization?

What does the Smart Check In feature do?

Smart Check In feature in eAlarm SOS app is used to automatically notify a loved one that you are safe and sound each day. Often times, people stay away from each other and remain concerned about their loved ones. When registering the app, user can set up a daily check in time, and select a contact to send this checkin notification to. Each day, the Smart Check In feature notifies the user to check in when the loved one gets a safety check in notification. If the user does not check in one day, the contact knows that he or she needs to check back. There is no phone call required, no typing and sending text required.

Is the Smart Check In feature mandatory to set up?

No. It is optional to set up.

Does the eAlarm SOS app directly connect to 9-1-1?

No. The eAlarm SOS App’s alarm connects to a 24/7 dedicated monitoring station who validates and gathers the victim’s identity and then the alarm is shared with the victim’s nearest emergency responders’ dispatch.

How much does it cost to subscribe to eAlarm SOS?

eAlarm SOS monthly subscription cost is $9.99. You can pay upfront for the full year at a discounted price of $99.99.

Can I unsubscribe at any time?

Yes. Users can unsubscribe at any time. Their services will stop at the end of their pay period.

Does eAlarm SOS save my billing bank or credit card information?

No. eAlarm SOS does not save your personal billing bank or credit card information. Billing is managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store and all your credentials are saved by them.
